Background

In 1995, I was expatriated with my then husband-to-be, to Nigeria. During our 7 years in Nigeria and Egypt, I experienced a growing curiosity within myself to understand more about the international assignment process and how and why people are affected by cross-cultural issues and issues regarding changes in lifestyle. In 2001/2002, I did a research project in Cairo supported by the University of Copenhagen, regarding expat families and with special focus on expat partners.

I returned to Denmark with my family in 2002 and in 2004 I finished my degree as a psychologist at the University of Copenhagen. Since my graduation, I have worked professionally with international assignment processes as a teacher, counselor and advisor.
